Another illness!

For such a happy wee girl she certainly gets her fair share of colds, coughs, sticky eyes and upset tums. This week I think she has had all of them! So lots of sleeping - just not at the times we want her to sleep!!! It did mean that I got to watch quite a bit of the cricket World Cup at 3am on a couple of days.

As pink as Peppa.
As quiet as a mouse.
Sophie did have all the babies over to the house on Friday but she didn't even manage to have as much fun as usual - och well, can't be on top form all the time.

Lois visited this week and Sophie took her to the park - Lois is 2 months older than Sophie but they got on really well.

In other news - Dad managed to put together a long awaited radiator cover to hide the hallway eyesore that was the electricity and gas meters. The masking tape on the floor was for measuring our two different options for mats.

Sophie's weekend finished with a quick visit to Gran and Grandad's to try and give her something to smile about - she had a great time as usual but definitely wasn't her usual self.

"Ok, where's the food Grandad?"
"See you next week!"

Girl in a box

Not quite the type of delivery we had last June but still a surprise.

Sleeping beauty

Sophie's sleep patterns change regularly -  today she was up at 5.50 but back to sleep for a nap before I had to leave for work!

Is it the Easter holidays yet?

Sophie continues to have a great time and in a week where she hasn't been bothered by teething or a cold (for a change) she has been a right sociable wee pudding. Full of chat, mischief and energy.

Her favourite sayings at the moment are "birds", "bye bye", "Mum" and "Dad" although she usually just says them whenever she feels like it, which is all the time. Although she does know when she says birds to look out the window - she loves birds. And she also says bye bye to me every morning when I go to work. She is also currently working on saying woof.
"I love drinking my milk"

"If you leave snacks around I will eat them in a flash!"

Sophie and her friends.

Daddy came home early from work on Friday and we went to the park.

And then Sophie fell asleep so Mummy and Daddy sneaked off to the pub.

On Saturday we had a wee outing into Glasgow City Centre - a very exciting wee trip on the train. We took Rainbow Dash with us for the journey - Sophie's new My Little Pony.

On Sunday Katie went for a well deserved day out to the shops although she was trying to buy things for the house rather than herself. Daddy took Sophie out for a walk and when Sophie finally fell asleep Dad was able to sit on the front doorstep in the sun and read the papers with a coffee. A very peaceful 50 minutes.

"Having a snooze on a Sunday morning"

Wanda and the Alien is the new theme tune Sophie is in love with.

Sophie tried to take her temperature

Sophie is becoming full of mischief and we're not sure if she was taking her temperature today (after a lot of temperature taking last week) or trying to answer the thermometer like it was a phone.

Just a few more photos

Some more photos - including Sophie throwing a wee boy off a toy at peppa pig world, Sophie and auntie Gill, Sophie and Noan, and Sophie taking Mya to see the Gruffallo.

Back to her best

Sophie seems to be back to her best this weekend - full of nonsense and giggles.

She has started trying to climb the stairs, she met some fish for the first time and she made a mess eating over at Grans for Mother's day.
