Dining room progress.
I know it is all about Sophie but some of you may want to hear progress on the house. We have had the decorator in who did our hall and he has whizzed round the dining room to make a tremendous difference. Not sure how long it will take us to furnish the place but at least it now looks clean and after tomorrow the floor should also be down.
Grandad brought Santa to visit
Grandad and Gran came over tonight with a big cuddly Santa for Sophie. It was a great surprise and Sophie was very taken.

Sophie builds a fort
Not much to report this week - Granny Hilary was up this week and had some good news. Alisdhair was up as well and treated us to fish and chips which was greatly appreciated. It was great to see them both although I didn't get to see much of them due to work. Sophie had a great time though.
I have been busy delivering my tutoring sessions to pro-youth footballers again - hopefully that will help pay for the flooring in the hall/dining room (next Monday) and also the painting in the dining room.(Thursday).
I also finish up for Christmas on Friday and Katie gets to have a night out - once that's out the way it will be time to set Sophie a new routine and take a bit more control over sleeping and eating schedules.
Sophie has been a bit out of sorts today and we think perhaps another tooth is on the way. We'll keep you posted. ;o)

Sophie's first gluten adventure
Sophie has had a busy week of experimenting with solids - she's had sweet potato, broccoli, carrots, apple, pear, plum, cheese, chicken and of course as you have seen, a very small bit of a gluten free fish supper.
As a coeliac the advice I have been given is that there is no reason to avoid giving Sophie gluten but the rule of thumb for all babies is no gluten for the first 6 months which we have stuck to.
So as part of her new adventures with food Sophie was given bread and she absolutely loved it - leaving poor me as the only gluten free member of the household :o(
In other news Sophie went for a weigh in today and is now 18.5 pounds which is less than I thought she would be however if you are counting percentiles she is on the 91st percentile. What this means is that of all babies her age, if you lined up 100 of them from lightest to largest she would be 91st in line. She is the same percentile for height.
The midwife told Katie today that she should be able to predict sophie's future height and stated that according to the charts it would be "somewhere between 5ft6 and 5ft8." Katie laughed and so did I when I heard. Our prediction is somewhere over katie's height of 5ft9.
Hope you like the photos.

ThIs isn't a post about my works night out but just an update on the dining room progress. The fireplace has now disappeared.
