It's now a very busy house....

It's happened! And it didn't half happen quickly - we welcomed Lauchlan (pronounced Lochlan) William Oman Brown 7lbs 7oz to the world on 25th August at 6.17am after a rantic rush to the hospital through muliple red lights and speeding through an empty Clyde Tunnel.

We are all delighted although extremely tired as you can imagine - Sophie has coped admirably with the big change however she has found it very very hard. She is a great big sister already though and showers Lauhlan with kisses and cuddles - but at 2am she absolutely hates him because she has been woken up and her Mum is busy feeding.

Anyway - many many more photos to follow but this is all I could muster this week - we all need a few days recuperation.

Technology is so far one step ahead of me

So far technology is still one step ahead so I have had to email the photos to myself and then post them on here - a wee bit more time consuming I must say.

Hope you enjoy the photos.

Still no sign of the new baby but Sophie and Daddy got up early on Saturday morning to do our homework for nursery - Sophie is learning all about shapes and space. We used paints with brushes, yoghurt pots, sponges and potato shapes to make our picture with some pens for good measure.

We also had another cracking wee family day out on Sunday when we went to another new park and then off out for a fancy lunch.

Sophie continues to be very interested in the new baby - here she is taking Mum's blood pressure.

And here is a wee photo that Katie took of Sophie out enjoying the summer weather on Friday.

The run in

so here we go - under a week to go (or less) until the new wee adventure arrives. We continue to have lots of funwith Sophie however and she continues to cuddle kiss and feed Mums tummy.

I have a fancy new phone that doesn't seem to like this blogger website so it isn't as easy to share photos-I shall fix this as soon as I can!

A good day for photos

And a little bit more fun

Just the three on the couch

Last weekend of Dad's holidays

It is unfortunately the last two weeks of dad's holidays however dad will get a bonus two weeks when baby number 2 pops out in the very near future.

This weekend we have revisited  the museum and we even nipped down to a park to see Grandad and uncle Paul. We played and fed some swans.

We also did some fantastic balancing in the park after the museum and we were dressing up in  the house - we bought a princess and a knight for starters. Sophie loves both.

Lazybones

OK so I have been pretty lazy over the last few posts and not put much text in - so here is an attempt to redress the balance slightly. (I will also try and revisit some of the older posts and flesh them out a wee bit when I get the chance )

As I write we are on paper two weeks away from our new wee bundle of excitement. In reality we are both bracing ourselves for an early arrival - although we have been told that it is impossible  to predict . Sophie is very excited about the new arrival giving it cuddles and kisses and even feeding it supper and milk every night.

Sophie continues to do very well in her big girls bed, she is becoming increasingly independent and is singing nursery rhymes non stop these days.

We are trying hard to continue having fun with her in the run up to the birth and although it is tiring it it very enjoyable.

We have had a great day today with Katie meeting up with an old equestrian chum and Sophie getting to ride tinker bell and groom pocket rocket. Hope u enjoy the pics.
