Too busy for words last week.....and photos!

Back to work and the adventures continue

I went back to work this week  (Thursday) and paternity officially ended. Didn't feel like any time at all but was great to spend time with the family. We are now doing the best we can to try and someow stay one step ahead of our schedule and trying to sleep when we can.

We have had a few special moments - first bath, first bath with Sophie, Sophie reading Lauchlan some books and a wee gathering of family to wecome Lauchlan to the world.

I have a couple of great videos to share - including a brilliant banjo song for Sophie by Uncle Paul. But again technology and time are beating me for now but I will sort it soon enough.

whirlwind of a week

So it has been quite a crazy week - we ended up visiting hospital Monday during the night to check Katie was ok and then the next day Lauchlan and Katie had to go back to hospital to check a concern from the midwife - that then led to them having to spend the night.

I am pleased to report everyone is absolutely fine - but it has still been a bit mental. Sophie of course found the whole thing a wee bit strange but has coped admirably with all the disruption.

Lauchlan is doing very well and getting stronger and more active by the day and this week we need to settle into a routine pretty quickly before I go back to work.

We had a great visit from Auntie Gill this week - she was brilliant with the kids and also brilliant at looking after us after a stressful start to the week. Thanks Auntie Gill! Auntie Gill also joined us for a trip to the fairy forest which was a great wee advenure.
