Halloween 2 and fireworks

No writing again last week - things have been nuts - sorry!

This week has been the same business as all the others but we did have two big events to prepare for and to see how things turned out.

First up was Halloween proper - we went ou on the street and there were tons of other kids, Gran joined Sophie and Lauchlan as we went door to door telling jokes.

"What's a ghost's favourite dessert?"  "I-Scream"

Sophie had a great laugh and I think Lauchlan did too but we headed home just in time for it to start raining so our timing was good.

The second event of the week was of course Guy Fawkes - we got ourselves all prepared for a late night of firework fun down at a West End bowling club.  We all got wrapped up and rushed out arriving at the venue to meet some friends with 5 minutes to spare until the fireworks started.

One minute after the fireworks started and we were back indoors - along with a bunch of others I might add. Sophie decided that fireworks were just too noisy so we headed home - as did her friend Olivia. Lauchlan however couldn't stop laughing for some reason.

And talking of Lauchlan here he is posing on his changing mat.

And here is proof, if proof was in fact needed, that kids will copy every silly thing their Daddy does.

Here is Sophie out for a walk with Mummy to the post office.

And finally - here are some photos to catch up from previous weeks - I will update the text on these at some point soon.

Holidays

So the holidays have came and went  - we headed off to Whitby on our first road trip as a bigger family. Before we did this though we had to invest in a roof box for the car - even though the car is a good size by the time we put the pram in the boot we don't really have much room for luggage and we now can't stick any bags in the back seat as that is full.

We were joined by friends Calvin and Joanne and their wee boy Blake. It was a very quick few days where we managed to have lots of fun, however between the hours of 6 and 9pm  it was quite difficult getting both of the children down to sleep at the same time in an accommodation where you could hear everything upstairs from downstairs and in a place where we had to all "sleep" in the same room.

Anyway the last few days since we arrived back have been wonderful and everyone is really settling down into a routine - it is a really nice time.

Here are some photos from this week,

Blimey - it's the holidays!

You would be forgiven if you thought that I just didn't have the inclination any more to do this blog - forgiven you would be but incorrect you would more accurately be.

Without a shadow of a doubt the last 8 weeks has been harder than anything else - without even stressing about blogging as wel - everyone has been fantastic and amazing and I am enjoying every moment but some of those moments are exceedingly difficult moments - like when child number 1 is shouting for her Mum whilst child number 2 needs fed. Difficult moments.

However - everyone is happy and healthy and we are, as Sophie herself says, "a Happy Family".

We are off on our next adventures very soon so keep your eyes peeled for some new exciting photos but for now here is a selection from the last week.

Sophie and Olivia out at the main street.

Tummy Time? With a frog - are you you kidding me?

Out at the shops - staying cool

Just chilling out waiting for dinner with my bro' and some nursery rhymes.
