It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas

The photos are all a bit of a jumble here this week as there are so many and I don't have a whole lot of time to rearrange I am afraid.

It has been a busy old time as usual and we have embarked on another crazy idea of decorating Sophie's new room in time for Christmas. We chose the most subtle shade of pink you can ever imagine and yep, as you can imagine, the room is bright pink.

In amongst disassembling the spare bed, changing the curtains, about to build a new bed, the normal weekly chores and the fact we had a joiner in this week doing us a fitted wardrobe in a cupboard you might think we have had no time for anything else, well you would be very much mistaken

First of all it seems that Lauchlan may actually have a tooth poking through - we can't believe it either and we are still trying to be 100% certain but it looks and feels very much like a tooth. Well done wee man if it is indeed a tooth.

Sophie continues working with the potty and her toilet seat - we aren't pushing anything quite yet but she is very good at using them. Christmas may have a new skill we need to perfect.....

We have also found some time in our hectic schedule to see santa - AGAIN. Sophie hasn't had great Santa experiences so far but this one was very different and may just have saved her opinion of Santa. Out in the woods in Balfron there is a plan called woodland experiences and they usually just do fairy stuff  - but they have now transformed it into a winter wonderland with Santa's house, elves, a tractor ride and everything. There was even a snow machine and santa leading a sing song - it was brilliant.

Here are some photos from the week with some descriptions where necessary -

Sophie, Logan and Olivia meet Santa in his house

Sophie started fairly unimpressed

Until Santa called her by name and gave her a present - magic

Mum was on hand to make sure Sophie got the best available toy

When we went outside we rang Santa's bell and he turned on the snow machine.

The girls all got their faces painted like reindeer

A juice and a biscuit after meeting the big man

Lauchlan continues to laid back
Cousin David came round on Sunday to play

As did David's Dad - uncle David

In fact Auntie Melanie was there as well

So was Mummy and Sophie even looked at the camera and smiled

Early morning Paw Patrol fans
Me too.

Sophie couldn't wait for her new wardrobe to be finished

Lachlan was not fussed

Back to face painting.....

Have another great week y'all and thanks to everyone for all their help and support recently - Aunt Nicole and Uncle Paul took Sophie away for a day of fun on Friday and Gran and Grandad came over to play on Saturday for some play.

These really are magic times - and no - we are still not sleeping all night every night yet

I best get on with my Christmas shopping - I haven't started yet and if I don't do some online tonight I will miss my chance!

Not much to report this week

Not much to report this week unfortunately - we got our Christmas tree which has been exciting - photos to follow. We have also mostly just been trying to do ANYTHING other than put kids to bed and cook meals. Not much Christmas shopping going on yet.

To further complicate matters we are looking at trying to redecorate the spare room some time over the next few weeks. Never a moment to spare!

Going a wee bit potty

So much to talk about and so little time - first of all apologies to anybody looking for a post last week - i think by the time Sunday night swung by things had been so manic that I was in my bed early.

So the latest news this week is as follows:

1) Everybody is doing very well thanks and Sophie is doing an excellent job sleeping this month.
2) Lauchlan still cries a lot in the evenings but we have implemented a harsh new regime - erm - routine and this seems to be working so far.
3) Sophie has been having tons of fun and is starting to talk a lot about Christmas.
4) Sophie met Santa at the weekend and didn't enjoy it very much - she didn't cry thought to be fair
5) We also met lots of her favourite tv characters (adults dressed up) after a wee while warming up to them she said "Dad, i am not scared anymore" and she high fives them like there was no tomorrow.
6) We visited Gavin and Catherine (great aunt and uncle) - Sophie was able to play about her cousins Erin and Euan - she had a wonderful time.
7) It was Grandad's birthday this week and Sophie loved the Happy Birthday singing and she especially liked the cake - A LOT!

Hurtling towards Christmas.

Another super fast week sees us hurtling towards a very busy Christmas period. We are both still pretty exhausted but loving every crazy minute of having two bundles of fun.

No real news this week other than 1) Lauchlan had his first jags and Sophie held his hand to make sure he was ok 2) Uncle Paul and Auntie Nicole came to visit for a fun filled Saturday afternoon 3) Gran and Grandad came for a visit and Mum and Dad got out for a lunch together - 90 minutes of eating and just talking about the kids.

Here are the limited selection of photos from this week......
