Last few weeks of term and a Heatwave!

So we are almost at the end of May - a busy old time for a lot of things -but birthdays in particular. Hopefully we will have lots of birthday smiley photos for you next week as wonder girl turns 4.

She was at a friends 4th birthday party this week and is really getting in the mood. Very very excited about her party next Sunday.

The heatwave and start of summer also brought an unwanted visitor to Sophie's play house - wasps. I was able to spray it with a can of household spray and then remove the next in a glass jar (there were no occupants left). Amazing wee structure - just glad I caught it in time.

The good weather has been absolutely amazing and we have been spending a lot of time in the garden  - this time next year this garden is going to look very very different. ;o)

There are some more photos to come and some more words no doubt but the temperature in this attic is uncomfortable to say the least and I need to get downstairs and charge my phone to update photos (and breath some oxygen). Goodnight.

A street party and some sunshine.

When Daddy goes to work this lot always have fun but on Friday they decided to go to the Safari Park - and they had a great time without the need to battle against crowds.

 When they finally made it home Dad got the barbecue on the go - everyone was so busy playing Dad eventually just sat down himself with a beer and had a couple of sausages.

On Saturday the plan was to get the bikes out and go for a ride before a wee street party we were going to so we pumped up all the tyres and Sophie helped me. We didn't watch the royal wedding by the way.

 Our neighbour Alison has bought a new place to stay and is moving out of the street - she has been here for 40 years and since we arrived in the street she has always been really nice to us. Really glad the neighbours rallied together for a wee send off.
