The start of the October Holiday

The October Holidays are always a welcome break and this year is no exception - it has been an exceptionally busy year so far and it is nice for us to spend some time at home together. Next stop Christmas!

Sophie continues to be a fabulous daughter, full of fun and laughter....and mischief. I blame her Mother ;o) She does however have a bit of a fever this weekend - we are keeping a close eye on her but yep, you guessed it, we suspect teething....what else could it be?! ;o)

During this holiday I am planning to decorate the spare room and loft so that the only room that hasn't ended up the way we had planned will now be the kitchen. Yes Marie, there will probably be before and after pictures.

Here are some photos from the Botanic Gardens and our very own garden - I am sure you will be able to tell which is which.

A quieter week this week.

Life was definitely quieter this week although the garden still had a few bits to finish off, gran and grandad came round for a barbecue on Wednesday (surely the last of the year) and Sophie was a wee bit ill on Friday so stayed at home cuddling Mum all day.

Katie and I were able to go out on the Saturday  night to a race night to raise money for an epilepsy charity which one of our friends is involved in. A great night but a couple of sore heads the next day.

Next stop the October week holidays and maybe decorating the spare room and loft!

Back to the ranch

I should point out that the back garden wasn't really worked on apart from a wee bit of turf laid and me cutting the grass tonight. But I have found really old photos of the garden that I will post next to show the comparison. And after that I will stop going on about the garden

Sophie enjoyed annoying the workmen this week with peek aboo and I would like to say that she enjoyed the wedding we were at this weekend but what with a wee cold she really didn't feel herself.
