May - the start of the birthday month.

There are days when sleep has been hard to come by and by 8am there is a manic princess climbing on the window sills. Then there is a Diva having breakfast by 8.30am - very funny.

Here is a shot of Sophie at the Rodeo last week that we forgot to put on - she loved the red spacehopper.

We spent a day up at the gym this weekend and we found a troll hanging around so we took a few photos.

And this bank holiday Monday Sophie went to a party with Lauchlan and Mum where there was facepainting, bouncy castles and lollies - not to mention the sisters from Frozen.

Lauchlan continues to grow and develop - he now is able to stand himself up at Sophie's dolls house - and more concerningly than that he now pulls himself up at the TV - Sophie has been very good at telling him not to. He is cutting more teeth and dribbling everywhere - still full of smiles though and a restless sleeper.

Finally - we went to Cuningar loop today which is an amazing wee park in Glasgow near Dalmarnock. Sophie had a fantastic time especially because Marie and Finlay were there - and Sophie loved scoootering on the skate park.

Sophie and Finlay loved to play falling down - this caused great hilarity. What a great weekend.

Back to work

Back to school this week and back into some sort of a routine - whatever the heck that is. Lauchlan is getting some new teeth so is quite up and down.

After getting picked up from nursery Sophie, Mum and Lauchlan all went to the pub - sounds like a great afternoon ;o)

Lauchlan tried on some smart clothes.

And then at the weekend we all went the to Glasgow University Vet school Rodeo. Sophie had a great time - held a mouse, touched a rat, held a rabbit, looked at a snake - jumped on a spacehopper, saw a horse stunt show.

Gran and Grandad came to see us all whilst Mum got to finally get out for an afternoon for a fancy lunch with the other Mums. About time!

Gran and Grandad brought Sophie a bike to try out but it needed some fine tuning in the garage from a couple of trained mechanices.

Easter time

Sorry for the late post - yesterday was especially busy and tiring. Kind of the theme for the last two weeks to be honest.

We begin where I left off from last time and Sophie went last Sunday to have a sleepover with Gran and Grandad - Dad also went so that he could see his Mum and Dad to have a chat for a change - and to drink some beer and try and get some sleep (all missions accomplished).

Sophie had a great time - she brought some of her own toys with her but was very mature about the whole thing and wanted to go back again this week - maybe we will give Gran and Grandad some time to recover until we do it again!

Sophie also got to do some Gluten free baking with Gran

Another theme of this holiday has been illness - Lauchlan, Sophie and Daddy all had the cold pretty bad - Mum has done astoundingly well to dodge the full blown cold but it could still be in the post. This illness really stopped us doing half the things that we had planned to do during the holidays but hey at least we didn't pay thousands of pounds for a holiday to have it ruined by illness/teething.

Here is Lauchlan still trying to smile through the bogies streaming down his face - he loves to have a good look into the bathtub before getting in to splash his Mum and Dad.

Over the last two weeks sleeping has continued to be a bit of a difficulty - here is Dad and Sophie asleep in the car (again) after Blair Drummond Safari Park.

Meanwhile during his recovery Lauchlan has started to wave at people and likes it if you wave back! he also still really likes rubbing food all over his face.

We went to Blair Drummond Safari park this week but to be honest hardly any of us remember it - we didn't stay too long - Sophie's favourite bits were the merry go round and the swing although she did see a giraffe amongst other animals and got to ride up front in the car with Mum and Dad.

Everyone was exhausted once again afterwards but somehow we decided to do another trip again the very next day - to North Queensferry.

North Queensferry meant that we were able to catch up with Noan and David - Noan even joined us at the Sea Life centre. Sophie loved seeing Noan - she always has good fun with Noan.

Lauchlan still wasn't very well and decided to just crash out in Dad's arms at one point.

As we travelled through the tunnel under the sea the favourite game was to spot sharks - Sophie was the best at this game.

Meanwhile back home we were still doing everything we could to entertain this pair of nutters. truth be told we are the nutters and they entertain us.

It wouldn't be Easter without an egg paint and some chocolate - I am sure even the Church would agree - so it was off to Gran and Grandad's for some Easter fun. Sophie at the moment wants everything to be red so her egg was red with red spots ;o)

She also had a great time hunting for easter eggs - she even re-hid them multiple times and had others looking for them too.

Spring has also well and truly sprung and Dad has been thinking about getting some vegetable growing on the go so we got a trough and some compost and we will soon be set up to have our very own vegetable garden. Sophie wants them to grow now - she will learn very quickly that this is a long  wait - we also planted some flowers though to give her some guaranteed growth over the next few weeks.

And to finish - another shot of Sophie from her Easter concert that I am unsure if I shared or not. This is her dancing to the Hokey Cokey - or, as the nursery had rebranded it, - the Bunny Pokey.

Next stop May holidays and some birthday action for Mum, Dad and Sophie.
