May the 4th be with us.

This week starts off with Lauchlan's obsessiveness about diggers - and it just so happens a lot of work is going on down at the nursery - never one to be shy we asked if Lauchlan could get a shot. he was a natural.

We also managed to get one other thing sorted out this week.......................

Lauchlan's hair has been out of control for some time but with this wee haircut he has now been transformed into a right trendy wee boy. Thanks to Jane for the cool styling.

These kids just like hanging out some days and watching the telly - the current favourite is a show called Biggleton. (where children play all the characters in a wee town).

Sophie, Dad and Lauchlan made the most of some early Sunday sunshine and headed to the park before we headed to see some animals. There was a lot of excitement at the animal park - Lauchlan loved the giraffes and elephants - Sophie loved the bird show and the ice lolly.

In other news this week Sophie has been practicing on her balance bike - for those of you who don't know a balance bike is just an expensive bike without pedals so that children can master the feeling of balancing before they have to worry about the whole pedalling thing (and saves then from getting cracked on the shin bone) (and yes, you can just buy a bike and remove the pedals)

And finally Lauchlan has taken to wanting to throw himself around a lot wherever he goes - this week it has mostly been on the trampoline.

Full recovery

Everyone has pretty much made a full recovery but we aren't getting carried away yet - there is still a whole lot of sleepless ahead we are sure but the kids are better than they have been the last two weeks - so fingers crossed we will hurtle towards the month of May with renewed energy.

No time for lets of words today - the photos and videos will hopefully speak for themselves - we were at a local Vet event - we went last year and had a great time in scorching sunshine - this year jackets were most definitely on.

The wee bug

Just as we had started to make progress with the wee man staying in his own bed all night, this week Lauchlan has caught a wee bug - some sort of nasty, hot, sweaty rash virus so it has kept all of us up most of the week - Mum bore the brunt I have to say. Lauchlan wasn't wanting to sty in his bed anymore, in fact he didn't want to stay in any bed and was up and about for hours during the night. I think he was teaching us a lesson.

Over the weekend his sister seems to have joined him in the world of wee, nasty, hot, sweaty rash viruses and she has been all out of sorts. With both kids wanting their Mum and both kids wanting to cuddle Mum all night it has created a variety of difficulties as you may imagine.

I have to say one thing about both of our  kids - they both retain a marvellous sense of humour even when they are feeling under the weather. Here's hoping they get well soon.

Lauchlan started gymnastics with Daddy this week after a number of weeks where we had to miss the class for one reason or another - needless to say jumping off of and climbing on things was very popular.

Saturday was of course a "heatwave" with Mummy out at a baby shower we all just chilled in the back garden with ice lollies.

Lauchlan took "taps off" to heart and decided to embrace the sun, and the washing.

Lauchlan loved spaghetti bolognese so much he used a spoon AND a fork at the same time. Meantime wee Sophie was lying on the couch just getting some peace and quiet. Poor wee lamb.

Here's hoping everyone recovers for next weekend and that the weather improves - there is a rodeo to go to.

Nursery progress

I haven't updated you all on nursery for a while so while I am procrastinating - why not?!
