Arthur is Number 1.

It's been the big build up to Arthur's birthday this week - and what a lovely wee party we had.

We also went to Niamh and Emily's for a sleepover - as with all good sleepovers there was very little sleep happening for our kids and us - going to take a week to recover. Good times though and Emily and Niamh taught some new fitness routines to baby shark.

With us all feeling a wee bit jaded we decided to start part one of our volcano experiment - I have never made paper mâché in my life - here is hoping it works out ok - next stage paint and then we need vingear and bicarbonate of soda + food colouring.

Earkuer this week Gran Hilary came to spend some time with the kids whilst Katie was down in London - both kids loved seeing her and they all went swimming - Sophie wanted to show off her new tricks - sitting on the bottom of the pool, swimming underwater, picking up objects off the floor and doing somersaults in the water.

everyone also fitted in a visit to cousin David's house.

Also - the competition from the last post may be helped if I give you the latest extension photos

My current ideas for the space at the side of the house are something along these kind of lines - could be a crazy idea but with a wee fire it might be an ideal place to sit out and socialise in the future,

finally - Katie's colleagues very kindly put on a family day for staff last week and the kids had a great time. No expense was spared - apart from Santa it would appear. We see the real Santa next week,,,,.....

Need to wait for tomorrow folks sorry! (ok so it took slightly longer than I had hoped).

Another busy week - Uni assignment due, full panic mode, parents evening, after school meetings and Gran Hilary staying whilst Katie flies to London for work overnight.

Lasts week was Grandad's birthday - so he came over for dinner with ice cream to finish - Lauchlan liked to steal Grandad's ice cream,

The outside of the house at the front is now looking bright and new - unfortunately the builders drive a dumper into the side of the house and damaged the new render - oh, well - I am sure it will be fixed at some point.

Competition time! If anyone can work out what the heck we are going to do with the side of our house and our existing garage space then feel free to email me, text or comment on this post, We are thinking a mini football pitch/tennis court or an outdoor seating area with fire pit, patio heaters and a bar.
