Two weeks in a flash

Been a busy couple of weeks - Lauchlan has really started to assert his wee self and he constantly wants entertained and continually wants to grab stuff - anything, everything - he is also very very close to starting to crawl. He is very happy to stand and hold onto the couch and bath - he is getting very strong indeed. There is a lot of fun trouble ahead......

Like trying to sneak out of the cot......

The main story of the last two weeks is that it was both of Sophie's Gran's birthdays - and Dad spectacularly messed up - he was extremely pleased with himself for organising a meet up with some old friends but unfortunately the date that everyone else had agreed with him turned out to be the worst possible one. Sorry Mum and Hillary!

So the arrangements were that Dad would get himself down to Liverpool for a day out with the lads and Katie, Sophie and Lauchlan would head down to Campbeltown to celebrate Gran's 70th. The drive would have been a real challenge with two bambinos for 4 hours so the prize for the best solution goes to Sophie's Gran Irene who suggested a flight.

Katie, Lauchlan and Sophie were about to embark on their own wee adventure on a wee plane to Campbeltown. It turned out to be a major success!

Meanwhile Dad pretended to soak up more than just some pints and he visited some famous sights in Liverpool - as Dad's sarcastic friend Campbell said - " There is hardly any mention of The Beatles down here - they should really make more of it"

Meanwhile - down in Campbeltown everyone was having fun and they all went out for an amazing evening out to celebrate Gran Hilary's 70th. Sophie had a ball playing with her cousins. She also had a ball out and about with Mum and Lauchlan.

When it  was time for the flight home the gang were really looking forward to it - took it all in their stride. Sounds a lot better than a 5 hour train ride from Liverpool with blocked toilets. I don't think they would want to travel any other way in the future.

Back in Glasgow and back in the same fun loving routine - everyone is just growing up so fast.

Sophie is in a nursery concert next Friday and for this she has to make an Easter bonnet - thanks so much to Auntie Nicole who helped Sophie put it together.

We then had a wee Sunday out to a country park to see some animals - here is Sophie dressing like Mummy and looking at some colourful Lovebirds.

And here are a few other photos to finish a late long post on a Sunday night.....
