It's been a great summer

As ever it has been a great summer - having 6 weeks off sounds brilliant but not when you have lots to do and you want to spend lots of time with your kids.

This post starts with a photo of us playing the cheap version of pie face (the weather has been so wet I had to have a couple of wet weather entertainment options up my sleeve) - there is a video of this and also Sophie having a shot that I will post at a later date.

feeding the dinosaur - roaar.

We did many things this summer but one of these was visiting "build a bear". For those of you unfamiliar with the concept you basically walk into a shop advertising reasonably priced cuddly toys that you can personalise - they then take you through the stuffin process, cleaning process, dressing process, birth certificate process - all of which results in you losing lots of money at the checkout. Sophie chose the most hideous bear and dressed it hideously as well - oh well, her choice!

3 year old fashion decisions.

We have a great photograph from last year of the one sunny day we had the hose out in the garden - so when a sunny day came (THE sunny day came) I decided to make sure we got some pictures - I like this one above.

Weather being poor didn't stop us having lots of fun though.

Our holiday this year was three nights at a caravan site in York - it actually turned out to be excellent - and we all survived the road trip and the confined space in the caravan.

Sophie attended learn to bike classes at the campsite and absolutely loved it - I have never seen her looking so proud of herself.

Sophie also got to go to the campsite disco - brilliant to watch.

And then she got to go up on stage and meet Cheeky the monkey for  a photograph - Sophie turned into a cheeky monkey and rejoined the queue and went on stage twice.
