Halloween and Guy Fawkes

On paper it's a great week in the calendar - in reality it kind of becomes a race to get to some sort of state of being organised  enough to enjoy the moment that actually is over in a flash.

I have been busy at work, Katie has been busy doing things with the flat - but we did our best and the kids seemed to have a good time. Sophie and Lauchlan have both been pretty tired - since the clocks changed they seemed to want to get up every day at 5am - no matter when they went to bed - so we also tried to catch up on some sleep.

For Halloweeen Sophie and Lauchlan had some parties during the day but when Dad got home from work and everyone was exhausted there was a pretty fast and furious dinner and then a race to get people into party mode again.

Dad tried his best to recreeate some of his favourite Halloween games and then we hit the streets - albeit much earlier than we were anticipating and as it turns out, earlier than the local houses were anticipating.

The rest of the week was all about whether to do fireworks or not and eventually we decided to get  some to do at home. We had two happy wee kids staring out Sophie's window whilst Dad froze a wee bit out in the garden lighting some low noise, cheap fireworks from the supermarket. Over in 15 minutes but definitely worth doing. There are no photos it was that fast but good memories none the less.

Good times continue to roll...........
