Two weeks in a row for the blog - hooray for us and hooray from Auntie Joyce hopefully! There really isn't a whole lot to report however.
The news could be summarised into a quick wee one sentence/phrase - it is business as usual around here. Lauchlan is teething although he is also being treated for a chesty cough - Sophie is doing really well and enjoying her dance, gymnastics and swimming. Katie and I still don't get a huge amount of unbroken sleep but are starting to hope that the light at the tunnel that occurred when Sophie was two might just be around the corner for us with Lauchlan.
Lauchlan's words are coming along well - he can now say, Mummy, Daddy, Gran, Grandad, banana, Paul, purple, octopus, Qashqai (seriously!), wiggles, poop, toast, i do it, yeah, yes, no, no and "no" most of the time really. he is very very funny.
Sophie is learning her letters and numbers and if you hold up some fingers she will instantly tell you how many- she is incredible at it. She is also getting better at writing her name. Sophie changes nursery this week - we decided to move her for a variety of reasons but mainly because she was telling us that she was unhappy at her nursery - she is now going to a council nursery with more kids that will be progressing to her primary school which will really work in her favour I think.
So what did the week bring - Sophie and Lauchlan went to the museum with Mum on Friday
Sophie demonstrated her awesome memory once again when we finished a book we hadn't read for ages and said "Dad, you were going to but the sausage inspector." and she was right I had said that - so I went and bought it online that night - she loved that.
Sophie has also really taken to taking pictures - the next two photos were both by her, i was doing handstands because Mum volunteered me to do it at about 8am on Saturday morning.
Sunday was a cold day and we went up to Mugdock park for a day out - it started snowing so we went for hot chocolate and crisps - success all round!
