Snow Way!

Just when we thought that we had had enough of the snow there I was laughing off the weather warnings when the snow hit again and we ended up being stranded in the house for three days. Who would have thought? At least we had enough food to last us although day 3 involved me going into the wilderness only to return with a bottle of red top and orange top milk - I had to wrestle a wee team of grannies down the biscuit aisle in Asda. (not true).

Seriously, when armageddon happens people will actually be too preoccupied with the lack of bread and milk to notice that the world is going to end. I am getting a cow and a bread maker - it will save a lot of awkward fights and stuff when the time comes - and of course I could eat the cow, bonus. Just as well we don't allow all citizens to own and carry a gun - imaging living in a country like that when there is a bread and milk shortage for 72 hours?

Talking of armageddon - luckily Aunt Joyce has been out of the country the last week or so - not only has she missed the terrible weather but she won't have had to sledge down to the library to find that the blog wasn't done last week. Hope you had a great holiday Aunt Joyce and Uncle Ronnie.

Snow goggles were a popular choice these last few days - they of course are swimming goggles but were all the rage round our way.

Simon next door built an igloo - it was a good effort but it didn't pass building control.

 Stop - it's the snow Police - is that milk and bread you have in your bag? Hand it over.......

Sophie and Lauchlan finally managed to get over to see Gran and Grandad to make sure they had enough bread and milk and that they had completed all their outstanding DIY jobs.

Sophie and Lauchlan were invited to Finlay Duncan's 4th birthday party - they had a great time - thanks Finlay bob.

 

And finally, Lauchlan has learned how to play "What's the time Mr. Wolf" - an awesome children's game.
