Birthday Bonanza!

Remember that time we had a wee girl back in 2014? Well today she turned 4! Cannot believe it - it has been 4 non-stop years with plenty of laughs and smiles along the way.

Well the photos have finally arrived from "the cloud" to my Apple Mac - so here are the birthday photos and stories....

After a long time deliberating about whether to have a arty or not and if we were going to have a party, where would we have it and who would we invite we plumped for a fairly low key event at a local country park and we invited about 15 children, had lots of excitement and fun planned and then just like last year......Sophie got sick!!!!

Here is Lauchlan getting into the spirit of things to make her feel better....

So we had no option but to cancel the party - Sophie and Lauchlan were both sick at exactly the same time as last year but because 48 hours passed with no symptoms we decided to carry on regardless last year. (and some guests got the bug - aargh!) However this year it was too close to call so we cancelled. Needless to say, on Sophie's actual birthday she was perfectly fine as was Lauchlan so we decided to have some fun anyway.

If we stop the story there and rewind just a moment to earlier in the week we all went out for Mummy's birthday - although technically it was also a celebration for Daddy's birthday as well. In and out of the sweltering hot restaurant in about 40 minutes - not our record but definitely
close.

There are some pics from Dad's birthday but I will need to fish them out - needless to say our birthdays were overshadowed somewhat by the star attraction - also by the fact that Daddy had some important work to do for University which wasn't such good timing.

On Sophie's actually birthday she was absolutely fine and enjoyed all of her presents - thanks goes out to all of you for that.

Presents included dresses, jodhpurs, riding helmet, games, new headphones, craft boxes, an amazing clock, a visual calendar, a fairy garden - and many more - she was very well treated i have to say. After all the presents she was wiped out and decided to spend the rest of the morning like a teenager - on the couch not talking to mum and dad. Lauchlan decided to play with the balloons.

As part of Sophie's party we had booked a pony to give all her guests a wee pony ride - in the end Sophie got the pony all to herself and she looks pretty pleased with herself. Gran and Grandad came along for the trip and stayed with us for lunch, uncle Paul, Auntie Nicole and Arthur also came to join us for lunch.

By the time all the fun was had - everyone was too wiped out for a team photograph but thanks to everyone for coming along or sending a present - some of Sophie's friends actually came to the house to hand deliver presents which was nice.

Nest big event - summer holidays!!!!!
