In good old traditional fashion let's start with an apology - to Aunt Joyce and everyone else for being so darn tardy when it comes to the blog. Life is continuing to be marvellously chaotic and Sunday blog nights seem a distant memory - these shall return especially now that I think i may just have signed up to continue my studies at Uni (in what is going to be one of the most mental years with the building work getting done).
Anyway - we continue to have fun and everyone loves seeing cousin Arthur - he is a cracking wee cousin and we look forward to seeing lots more of him.
Sophie and Lauchlan can be the best of friends and the worst of enemies when it comes to fighting over a toy, basically anything Sophie has Lauchlan wants. It can be carnage at times, here they are building a den - in this photo everything looks relatively peaceful.
Talking of peaceful - the wee man can look peaceful sometimes but he still isn't sleeping all night long. The digger doesn't even help.
Since Sophie learned how to ride a bike in France we looked high and low for the perfect bike - we rushed out and got her it and she absolutely loves it.
We also had to rush out and get Dad a new car as well as the VW Golf was really truly on its last legs - internal lights not working, rear windscreen not working, drivers window not working, brake discs needing replaced, slow puncture, front windscreen wipers stuck on. The estimated value of the car/ £200. Didn't make any sense any more but we than the Golf for all the good times and it is 15 years old this year so deserves its farewell.
Lauchlan and Sophie also checked out a new car whilst at the safari park.
Here are the kids having a right laugh together playing with tiny water pistols - this truly was a magical moment and even lasted longer than two minutes.
Work begins on transforming our house in October - it will also transform our back garden into a big pile of mud - next Spring should hopefully see some redevelopment of the garden as well.
We are now more mobile than ever and Lauchlan and Sophie both enjoyed a wee cycle and scooter into the wilderness....
