Every sporty Dad probably dreams of the day he buys his boy their first football strip and is looking forward to the shared passion for the game. Lauchlan started football lessons recently and i bought him a strip (i still remember fondly every single strip my parents bought me - even though it probably financially pushed the limits it made a wee boy very happy). So far the strip has been on once but i couldn't even take a photo as he was so annoyed. To date he has had his second football session and we managed to get the socks on him, next week we go for the shorts. The big problem is actually that he wants a blue strip so I am going to get him a blue one. (it is worth noting here that Dad also got himself a Liverpool shirt as a lifelong Liverpool fan - but this still hasn't worked.)
So we sentenced Lauchlan to some hard labour.........only joking he wanted to help with building a shed base.
Meanwhile our wee girl is getting all grown up - no fear of climbing the highest heights and even taking some colouring in work down to the park and taking herself onto a park bench to get some time to do it. She is absolutely amazing and we love her to bits - what a girl.
And this wee guy is also amazing who we love so much and laugh with every day - cheeky and funny but amazing too - he seems to be keener at the moment on being a superhero than a football player but that's ok - i didn't start playing seriously myself until i was in primary 6.
Talking of awesome it was awesome to get to see our wee nephew/cousin at the weekend. he is also hilarious - i can't wait until these three are having the best of times together.
At Lauchlan's party he had the opportunity to get his face painted and he demanded a digger - the "artist" didn't really do diggers but gave it a shot - i think she did ok but I did come home and think someone had drawn glasses on him whilst he was asleep.]
Sophie asked me to send a photo of this to her teacher so I did . |
We have a skip again! Just to clear the garden and some stuff out of the loft though we aren't building again don't worry - imagine our surprise when we discovered some wee people in the skip!
October week next week so hopefully some time for family fun and frolics ;o)
