Lockdown - hope you are all ok

This is going to be a very brief run down of the last 12 weeks - we have had chickenpox (both kids), we have been doing some home improvements, Coronavirus changed life and we are currently enjoying lockdown as much as we can - hope you are all well and that we can see you all soon.

We finally managed to get new sofas for the front room

But before we did the room needed repainting.....

But before that the room needed replastered........

and before that the wood chip paper had to come off the ceiling and the old plaster had to be removed (where necessary)

All in all a rather big job - i did most of the destructive bits and we paid someone who knew what they were doing to put it back together.

Lauchlan has enjoyed wearing his footie strip and we have all enjoyed seeing cousin Arthur....who knew we wouldn't see him in person again for months.

We have been dressing up - and dressing down....

We built our own volcanoes.....

and we visited a dinosaur exhibition....

 all  very tiring....

We haven't seen much of anyone really for the last couple of months - as first of all Lauchlan got chicken pox and then Sophie got it ......

 We did some cooking.......

And then Coronavirus appeared - Lauchlan attended a party and was only one of two who showed up.....

Pre total lockdown we went for a walk.

Dad built a sandpit.....just in time for isolation....

And we used it to learn about paleontology

Things got tense and we had to lock down the kids a wee bit more than we expected.....

 We have been face painting......

Doing some photography.......

And some home learning......

Some PE - throwing and catching.,,,

And getting out for exercise in all weathers......

We sometimes take turns being the Teacher......

And after two weeks of self isolation we were ok to head back to see Binky which was a really positive thing.....

We have also stayed up to late sometimes and watched telly.....

Finally - Lauchlan has learned to ride his bike!!

It is really important to re evaluate life and focus on the positives - we are certainly very pleased to get to spend so much time with the kids at this age and also spend time together when we would never have had this opportunity.  We are missing loved ones of course but technology means that we can keep in touch like never before....

Take care, stay safe, and we will see you when this all passes!!
